A plus (+) sign preceding a word will only include recipes with this word. Note: If the kitchen-scraps.com search engine dictionary does not recognize the word (including the plus sign) it will be ignored.
Sets of words surrounded by quotation marks ("") forces those words to show in order in the recipe
+tomato onions apples -tofu "green beans"
This would include recipes with tomato, onion, apple and "green bean". It will discard any recipes without tomato and with tofu.
These are examples of the types of things that would be usefull to enter in particular fields.
The database is very large. Therefore, put a lot of detail in the search or the results will be as general as a standard cookbook. Don't forget using pluses and minuses.
It is for a good reason that kitchen-scraps.com doesn't have support for wild cards in it's searches. Words are correlated through a dictionary. kitchen-scraps.com knows that that strawberries are a plural strawberry or frozen is the past tense of freeze.
